Purpose: Theatre excursion and city sightseeing for the children

b)
Purpose: To provide floor fans for the 3 different spaces in the Community Centre “La Chispa” Villa Soldati.

c)
Purpose: To provide new story books for children (fron 6 to 10 years old)

Because of the eleccion:

Due to the lack of recreational spaces and the dangerous neighbour, community centres and library are very important for children.
They enjoy reading and sharing stories with other children.
The books we have in the library have been already read by children.
Because of this, they are loosing the habit to read and they are bored when there are no other activities in the community centres.

The need:

Approximately total 30 story books to renovate library.

Approximate cost:

750 pesos argentinos (approximately 250 dollars).

After your donation:

With the obtained money, we will use it for the describe purpose and then we will send you pictures and results of the use money.

d)
Purpose: Theatre excursion and city sightseeing for the children

Because of the eleccion:

Children from poor neighbourhoods almost never have an opportunity to leave, since their parents are working all day and don´t have extra money to even buy a movie ticket. Therefore, children from the Villa know nothing about their own city, the culture surrounding them, or even what it´s like to just have fun in Buenos Aires.

The need:

Approximately total 25 children: theatre tickets, transport tickets and food for tea time.

Approximate cost:

625 pesos argentinos (approximately 208 dollars)

With the obtained money, we will use it for the describe purpose and then we will send you pictures and results of the use money.

Purpose: To provide cabinets, places to keep and conserve the books and everyday materials that are used in the workshops and in the adult and children’s activities.

Because of the eleccion:

The lack of cabinets and adequate space to keep books and everyday materials for the workshops and activities, which makes things difficult to find, or they are lost, worn out, or broken to be left on the floor or work stations.

The need:

2 Cabinets (1.60 x 1.20 meters approximately) with a lock (one for each community center).

Approximate cost:

$600 pesos for each one (approx. $200US Dollars).

f)
Purpose: To contribute to the purchase of industrial washing machines that will permit the development of a new, productive enterprise and work co-operative for persons in both community centres.

Because of the eleccion:

We are creating a new small business. For this reason we have already begun the search for funds for the installation and equipping of a laundry facility. Through a project presentation to different private organizations, we have obtained part of the installation funds, but they will be insufficient.
This business will allow us to have a source of dignified work for many persons that cannot find it and it will contribute to improving the ties between our organizations.
At the same time, various volunteers have already completed an assessment of the business plan in order to assure the viability and potential success of the business.
We also have a team of experienced and competent managers who will be responsible for training new employees and assuring impeccable customer service.

The need:

2 Industrial Washing Machines (2 more washing machines, the dryers, and the needed installation materials are part of the proposal submitted to the public and private entities .

Approximate cost:

$8000 pesos for each one (approx. $2700US Dollars).
